DIY GLITTER CLUTCH

A few weeks back I made this glitter clutch and I thought why not tell you guys how I made it! Unfortanetly I didn't take step by step photographs only because I was just wingin' it. But here is some rough step by step possibly confusing instructions on how I made this super cute clutch.

YOU WILL NEED:
  • Three 21cm x 16cm pieces of PVC plastic
  • One 21cm x 32cm piece of PVC plastic
  • Glitter and assorted confetti of your choice
  • Sewing machine and thread
  • Bias binding
  • 1 set of Velcro dots
HOW TO:
  1. Cut 3 x pieces of plastic 21cm x 16cm and another 21cm x 32cm of plastic. (I used a PVC table cover)
  2. Take 2 of the smaller pieces of PVC and sew them together to make the first glitter pouch make sure you leave one edge open to fill it with glitter.
  3. Fill your first pouch with confetti and glitter then sew it up.
  4. Now grab your larger piece of PVC and the last small one and line it up like you did with the other pouch and repeat step 3. There will be a large piece of PVC hanging off this pouch to be made into a flap.
  5. Now that you have 2 pouches filled with glitter and a big flap its time to sew the 2 pouches together to make the inside of your clutch. Make sure you don't sew the top edge of the pouch as thats the opening of your clutch.
  6. Now grab the flap of PVC and fold it down to make another glitter pouch that makes the flap to keep your clutch closed.
  7. Sew around the edges of the flap leaving a side open to fill with glitter then sew it up.
  8. By now you have an alright looking clutch but it just needs one more touch to finish it off to hide all your wonky sewing. Grab some bias binding and sew around all the edges of your clutch to give it that finished look.
  9. Last step is to stick on a velcro dot on the inside of the flap to secure it and keep all your belongings safe!
I hope this wasn't too confusing but I'm sure you'll figure it out!  Happy clutch making boys n gals

KICKIN' IT

I'm wearing: American Apparel dress and Customised bomber jacket.

My love for Bomber jackets this season is getting a bit out of hand. After searching and searching for a sequin Bomber I decided to take things into my own hands and headed to my local craft store and scored some sequin fabric at a sweet price. If you've read my blog for a while you'll know I had some problems with an online site a while ago and they accidentally sent me three mesh Bomber jackets. This is what I decided to do with the second jacket! The first I kept as is and the third well that's coming soon to the blog!

Just last month a bunch of my gal pals and I headed to Sydney for a few days, Here's a quick recap of what we got up to ~ We explored around Bondi and ate lunch at the infamous Bondi Icebergs, got invited to visit Triple J (shoutout to Kritty for that hook up), drank some drinks at a sweet rooftop bar in Bondi Junction, ate lots of delicious food, boogied at Good God small club, went shopping in the city, watched the sun set behind the Harbour Bridge, drank some drinks at the Opera house bar, went bar hopping around the city and to finish off the weekend we headed to Groovin' the Moo musical festival in Maitland and spent a full day groovin' to some of our fav artists. My musical highlights were Meg Mac and off course Flight Facilities.

Cya again soon Sydney!

TOKYO HANGZ

I'm Wearing: Monki tee, Dr Denim jeans, ASOS denim jacket, DIY fur bag and Converse

Heyo! If you read my last few recent posts you'd know I was recently in Japan! Classic me packed thinking the weather wasn't going to be very cold and it was, so my trip turned into a massive outfit repeating vacation.
So instead of sharing the same outfit 10 times with only the shirts changing here is what I wore on my last day in Tokyo and basically every other day on the trip. Also side note we had constant access to washing machines so not to worry I didn't walk around everyday stinkin' out Japan.
